    Inhaltsangabe

It is a time of unrest in the BookWorld. Only the diplomatic skills of ace literary detective Thursday Next can avert a devastating genre war. But a week before the peace talks, Thursday vanishes. Has she simply returned home to the RealWorld or is this something more sinister? All is not yet lost. Living at the quiet end of speculative fiction is the written Thursday Next, eager to prove herself worthy of her illustrious namesake. The fictional Thursday is soon hot on the trail of her factual alter-ego, and quickly stumbles upon a plot so fiendish that it threatens the very BookWorld itself.

Please note: Chapter 13 has been intentionally omitted from this title.

    Einfach genial. Immer wieder

    New ghostwriter?

It feels as if not only the books within the books had quite different ghostwriters but also the real ones. New bookworld, New style, many loose ends and threads not being picked up again.

a different Thursay is not necessarily a worse one

I enjoyed this Thursday-book a lot, even if there’s the real Thursday missing – or isn’t she? I liked the way this whole book is told from the perspective of the bookworld. That makes it different from its predecessors, and also more interesting again.
I love Gabrielle Krueger’s English – her German is gruesome :-D but also in a cute kind of way. I’m actually not even sure if she was trying to speak German or maybe Dutch. Around this passage there’s also the one thing I found highly irritanting, I think in all 6 books so far: The sound volume changed measurably between the German and the next English sentence. Maybe I only recognized it because I was so focused on listening.

On the other hand I probably wasn't focused enough at the end: well, well, we found the missing Thursday, but I'm still missing a little bit more of an explanation.
