It is pretty long and there are a lot information, i recommend to know at least some basics before you start reading otherwise it can be difficult with all the different names of the gods. nevertheless i really enjoyed all the stories and can recommend the book(s)

This is a great collection. I was only interested in two of the eight books, as it is hard to find a comprehensive collection of Mesopotamian and Egyptian myths. Definitely feel like I got my money's worth, and there's still six more parts I can check out.
The reader does a good job, even does some voice acting for female and old characters, which I found a bit irritating, but I appreciated that he was making an effort, and overall he succeeded to breathe more life into the stories.
The myths are well put together, and the writer tried to create some sense of cohesion even if the stories are by nature disjointed. He balanced authenticity with enjoyable narrative pretty well.
Overall, thumbs up.

With this collection one gets a nice overview about mythology of different countries and cultures. It is very interesting and well explained. The stories are wonderful and very well read. Thanks a lot, I really enjoyed it!

Wonderful end educational

It's really dry and very hard to follow. Other books on mythology like the one by Edith Hamilton or even Stephen Fry do a much better job.

There are mistakes in the text...not one but several, switching the names and roles of important gods. I mean, you had one job... how can you write/read that Athena was the wife of Ares and similar bs?
That is really disappointing. I know mythologies quite well and can recognize some of the mistakes, but there is much I dont know and finding mistakes in fundamental facts leaves me questioning the credibility of the whole book.
Also, I expected stories. This is more of a suboptimal encyclopedia.
