Simply Incredible
The story fits perfectly at the time... It is a story for adults and kids alike and the message is loud, clear and important!
Let your kids listen to it, let them read it with an open heart and let them soak in the magic!
I absolutely loved it! Thank you J.K. Rowling and Stephen Fry for another amazingly told story that'll light up the world!

Stephen Fry does a great job reading, as always.
But I am not really fond of the story. I couldn't identify and feel with any of the characters.
Sometimes I was reaaly bired, sometimes the bad guys are just a little too bad, the good guys a little too good. The end came pretty sudden and was also just a little too sweet...

Sooo gut
Ich konnte irgendwann gar nicht mehr aufhören zu hören. Der Sprecher ist halt einfach nur super und die Story mega hammer!

Sweet story
It’s a sweet and lovely story. Nothing too fancy, but nevertheless couldn’t stop listening. And i never get bored of Stephen Fry reading aloud.

Nicht nur für Kinder
Eine Geschichte, die erst als Kindermärchen daherkommt. Wie „ Des Kaisers neue Kleider“ aber nicht ohne Hintersinn. Von Stephen Fry zum Niederknien vorgetragen. Sicher ist J. K. Rowling nicht die größte Literatin aller Zeiten. Das ist aber auch von Vorteil, so kann man dem Buch auch ohne elaborierte Englischkenntnisse gut folgen.

marvelous Journey about lies and kindness
not just a kids book - I'm 28 and loved it!
Once again J.K. Rowling managed to drag me into a fantastically described world, with carefully detailed characters and kind of a plot twist, which makes the whole Story even more beautiful.

Geniale Märchen-Fabel mit kindgerechtem Ende gut alles gut
Was als farbenfrohes Kindermärchen beginnt, geht schnell über in einen sehr spannenden und mitreißenden plot. Große Erzählkunst von J.K. Rowling, gewohnt perfekt intoniert von Stephen Fry. Durchaus eine story für Erwachsene, bis auf das sehr kindlich/glückliche Ende.
Ich habe es sehr genossen!!

Good story! though quite dark at times.
The Ickabog is a well crafted story which is instantly gripping. Rowling has clearly put in a great deal of thought, because the plot is at once complex and simple to follow. An important theme in the story is politics.
I found the story quite dark at times and at certain points even exhausting to listen to. Although darker subjects are balanced with creative storytelling and subtle humour.
All in all a good story!
