Nell Gallows is the sole survivor of an elite dark forces squad, Riøt, after a detrimental attack two years ago.

Unsurprisingly, she's being put up as the top candidate for the special ops team Malum, the squad that goes where no one else will or can. There's only one problem: Malum blames their one casualty from the Patagonia mission on the Riøt squad.

This story is so dark and tragic it made my heart feel heavy as stone but it‘s mixed with the perfect amount of love and spice to make it bearable.

The story lacks complexity and depth. It started off well and was even exciting until the middle. But after that, it no longer feels realistic, there is no character development, and the plot becomes increasingly unrealistic and contrived, raising more questions than I would like. There could have been more potential here, but the story jumps and picks up speed—it feels as if the story was tailored to fit the sex scenes. I don't understand the hype. There are currently other books that are similar but still manage to be realistic and make more sense until the end. Nevertheless it wasn't a waste of money and it was somehow okay....

Such a perfectly done enemies to lovers, I got exactly what I want an enemies to lovers, distrust, hate, loathing and malice. The story was incredibly captivating and so well written. I felt like I was out in the field with them. The plot twist was twisting, and I loved every second of it.

That's what I call enemies to lovers!

I disliked:

- I wished FL had more revenge on ML for his behaviour ( it really annoyed me that she liked getting hurt )
