Das erste Buchvder Reihe fand ich noch witklich unterhaltsam, das zweite (dieses) lässt leider zu wünschen übrig. Das ganze Setting wirkt zu konstruiert, zu gekünstelt. DienEntwicklung der Beziehung finde ich ebenfalls nicht gut getimed. Zu viele Augenroll Momente...

I loved this. the performance is top notch. the voices are perfect for the characters and the story is full of angst and I'm totally for that.

Again, loving the Duett narration. However the story felt a little flat. I didnt really feel the excitement of the first book and the plotpojnts felt a little forced after having the more non traditional romance arche of Butcher & Blackbird.

Brynne Weaver went at it again with her mission to ruin certain foods for everybody. Just kidding, I can still eat Pizza just fine. The thought of a “pizza smoothie with fancy calcium” did make me a little bit queasy though.
Lachlan and Lark loath each other because their first encounter isn’t exactly smooth sailing as they both make (the wrong) assumptions about each other’s characters.
They end up being forced into a marriage of convenience to protect the ones they love - enter forced proximity.
I loved the transformation from dislike to love because you could tell how deep their feelings for each other ran. The nicknames were everything!
Brynne did an amazing job choosing Samantha Brentmoor and Eric Nolan as narrators. I could listen to Samantha sing all day long and Eric did great embodying the different male characters!
They went all out with their performance, not only reading the words but also doing the appropriate sounds in certain scenes (iykyk).
You’ll love this book if you’re into grumpy MMCs who fall hard and sunshine FMCs with a deep trauma who learn to trust again, all mixed with a lot of humor and mystery.
