the author points out the fears and struggles women face at the workplace.
It is wonderful to hear, how she managed career and family despite fearing not to be present enough at home.
Further I liked the simple but true statement about how to find the perfect partner - I can only agree looking at my partner or my father.
Also loved, how she states the importance of male role models in the family and how kids benefit from both parents being present in their life, instead of only the mother being the primary care giver.

My very first book on audible and I finished listening to it within 2 days. Sheryl is a natural story teller, her success story is so popular, one may feel related especially for women who are also career oriented. A breath of fresh air for feminism movement in such an applicable way. She illustrated each point with multi perspective real life examples and interesting findings. I'm motivated after reading it and took many notes for myself. It is one of the book that I could remember what it's about and enthusiastically discuss with others!

The narrator did a great job! The book is amazing to read and to listen to! I warmly recommend this book for every man and woman (yes, it is not only a book for women!)

Inspiring and insightful: a must read

This audiobook is a MUST LISTEN for every woman (AND every man indeed). I recognized many situations and feelings, Sheryl described and it is kind of comforting to know that I am not unique in feeling this way. Her explanations are truly vivid and great. It made myself shiver to read that e.g. woman are promoted according to their achievements and men are promoted according to their potential. And honestly: his is strange wise so true!
And: why do we woman only apply for job where we believe to fit 100% whereas men do apply once they believe they fit circa 60%?! Same here … achievement and potential differences … I am surprised and shocked by this and will try to be one of the drivers for change here!

I honestly have already listened to the book twice and can only recommend to all of you to do that. Once to listen to be surprised - second time to learn :-)

LOVE this book and can undoubtedly recommend it!

Sheryl Sandberg gibt uns einen sehr interessanten und seltenen Einblick in die Top Unternehmen des Silicon Valley und in die Arbeitswelt in der Techbranche. die Statistiken der Gender Gap in der Arbeitswelt haben mich total überrascht und teilweise schockiert, sodass ich verstehen kann, wieso so ein Redebedarf zu diesem Thema hat. İhr Schreibstil ist empathisch, humorvoll und authentisch. ich habe es genossen, auch die Sprecherin ist top.
