The narrator of this book rushes through the passages as if she wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. I had to slow down the recording to 0.85 to achieve an acceptable level of speed. However, the narration lacks clarity of intonation an emphasis. It's just a mediocre background babbling which requires a lot of focusing.

As for the content of this book, Mrs Gabaldon uses many and lengthy examples from her series. On one hand, this is great because one doesn't need to have all her books at hand to see what she means. On the other hand, it blows up the book enormously. If one took out the examples, this scripture would shrink to a brief booklet with not much info of real value.

I can't wholeheartedly recommend this audiobook. I bought the Kindle version and will read it myself. Hopefully I'll be able to get more out of the actual book.
