Good book to listen to and to relate to. Well developed characters and not just romance but a bit of working lives for women! Of course the outcome is predictable, but that is just the nature of these stories. Hence the 4 stars
Angela Dawe is a good reader. This is nice company to a good walk.

👉🏻 I’m GASPING. This is by far Lee Winter’s best book, although her other stories have also been remarkable. However, this book was just perfect from beginning to end. I fell in love with the characters unconditionally and I don’t want to believe that their story is now over.

💡 The main plot consists of Amelia Duxton and Kai Fisher, two hotel executives who are fighting each other for the purchase of the hotel “Mayfair Palace”. At a conference in a hotel in Las Vegas, they both meet in the hotel bar, but at first, they don’t know they're each other’s rival. Both couldn’t be more different: Amelia is straightforward, honest and introverted. Meanwhile, Kai is chaotic, charming and extroverted. In short: Ice Queen meets Fire Queen. During their stay in Las Vegas, they both learn some uncomfortable news, which they try to resolve in the book's course.

The book doesn’t focus on romance at all, but rather on two tough women who stand up for what’s important to them. Both main characters are incredibly endearing in their own way. Their dialogue was just indescribably well delivered and is proof that being smart is sexy. ;)

I couldn’t put "Hotel Queens" down because it captivated me so much and I fell in love with Amelia and Kai. Thank you to the author for the wonderful portrayal of two incredible characters who I won’t be able to forget soon.

♥️ Like all of Lee Winter’s books, I highly recommend this one, which is my absolute favourite of hers so far. The plot is well thought through – down to the smallest detail, and I take my hat off to the author for sweeping me away with this storyline.

Last but not least, I’m going to end this review with my favourite quote by Amelia to Kai: “I’m worth a lot more than you’re offering tonight. Your proposal is lacking... But just so you know... It was tempting.”

This is definitely an outstanding novel. It's the dialogues which makes it special. It leans heavily on the delicate and witty conversation between the two protagonists. There is some angst, but mostly sparkling fire between those two. Their getting together ist set in the corporate world of hotel business. It develops between the lines of played games, deception and betrayal.
Although the dialog is playing the main role in the book the story is captivating and thrilling to the end.
I'm disappointed its was narrated to the end in the last chapter and the epilog. I would have loved to read a sequel instead.

5 stars. Wow... just wow! I have been listening to so many good audiobooks lately, but I think I have never enjoyed listening to every single minute to a book more. I must have been grinning at home and outdoors so much.

I’m glad I’ve finally found my favorite Lee Winter book. I know that she‘s a terrific writer, I could see it in her other books, but so far the other stories didn‘t click with me, but this one.... just... wow. It feels like I have been waiting for a story like that for years!

It ticked all the right boxes for me: Two smart and sexy women over fourty who have oh so much chemistry, an enemy to lovers romance with a heartmelting icequeen no less, plus a firequeen... and set in London and Las Vegas, which are my favourite places for a novel to be set in.

The story was so gripping. One reviewer wrote that Lee Winter wrote the most perfect first half of a book and I wholeheartedly agree. Though the second half wasn't any less perfect, just different, as the plot thickened.

All the details and also the secondary characters are so well crafted (isn't Millie Valentine just the cutest and coolest assistant ever? 😎)

What really affected me was on the one hand the romance between Kai and Amelia... I had so many feelings for Amelia and my heart went really out to her. Her backstory with Maryam really touched me. And Kai is the perfect match for her. Despite all her fire spitting passion and chaos, Kai has such a caring side to her and both women complement each other perfectly. There weren't really any games played and they were honest and adults about their feelings and vulnerabilities, I liked that. Plus, the bossy side of them was really hot.

On the other hand, the story was a little brotopia for Kai and Amelia. As a feminist, and working in tech, I see this everywhere around me and I wish more books would adress this in one way or another. Seeing the unfairness of the patriarchy, and the misogyny outplayed to perfection in this story, this always gets me and I was really happy about how Kai and especially Amelia dealt with it in the end.

I listened to the audio version and Angela Dawe (Angela Date 😉) just nailed it. When I finished the 13-hour something book, I felt at a loss of what to listen to next and I couldn't really let the story go just yet. So I listened a second time, loving it just as much. Did I mention this goes to my all-time favorites bookshelf? I just ordered the paperback.

All in all, I can't sing enough praises about Lee Winter writing this book. It's a masterpiece with so many layers. I'm so much looking forward to her next books.

I love it! This has to be my favorite Lee Winter novel. It has passion, mystery, love, lust and humor.
