I was looking forward to this, because I had Michener‘s Hawaii on my reading list for a long time and thought it might be a great idea to listen to it rather than read it.

The introduction was great and the narrator very good. But the actual text then is narrated by someone else and it often sounds like a computer voice, monotone and choppy, almost no intonation. I think it is a very old narration. Maybe Audible might redo this and have a good narrator for this supposedly wonderful book...I will read it now rather than listen to it.
