Über diesen Titel
“If you liked Gone Girl, you’ll like this.”—Stephen King
Ten years ago, six friends went on vacation. One made it out alive….
In that instant, college student Quincy Carpenter became a member of a very exclusive club—a group of survivors the press dubbed “The Final Girls”: Lisa, who lost nine sorority sisters to a college dropout's knife; Sam, who endured the Sack Man during her shift at the Nightlight Inn; and now Quincy, who ran bleeding through the woods to escape the massacre at Pine Cottage. Despite the media's attempts, the three girls have never met.
Now, Quincy is doing well—maybe even great, thanks to her Xanax prescription. She has a caring almost-fiancé; a popular baking blog; a beautiful apartment; and a therapeutic presence in Coop, the police officer who saved her life. Her mind won’t let her recall the events of that night; the past is in the past…until the first Final Girl is found dead in her bathtub and the second Final Girl appears on Quincy's doorstep.
Blowing through Quincy's life like a hurricane, Sam seems intent on making her relive the trauma of her ordeal. When disturbing details about Lisa's death emerge, Quincy desperately tries to unravel Sam's truths from her lies while evading both the police and bloodthirsty reporters. Quincy knows that in order to survive she has to remember what really happened at Pine Cottage.
Because the only thing worse than being a Final Girl is being a dead one.

Three girls, Lisa, Sam and Quincy, sole survivors of separate gruesome massacres, whom the press branded as the Final Girls.
10 years past, Quincy, is doing well. Until Lisa, was found dead in a bathtub with her wrist slit. Out of the blues, Sam came to Quincy's door like a whirlwind. Determined to make Quincy retrieve her memory loss of the details of Quincy's horrific ordeal in that Pine Cottage massacre. And so begins the dire consequences, doubts, suspicions....especially when new details surfaced about Lisa's cause of death. And so its a race against time for Quincy to find the truth and the lies about Sam. And to remember her own truth of what really happened in the massacre where 5 of her friends were killed, casting her own doubts about her innocence.
This was one of the fiercest books I've ever listened to. There are multiple prime twists in this story that are very interesting, and had an intense psychological layer that's really riveting to see come to light.
Final Girls was anything but predictable and not a novel that I was able to predict the ending. It had a nice pace...slow at first but I appreciated that they didn't rush into important plots as I loved how they were building up the characters and the story.
The narration and voice-acting were compelling. It was raw and intense. I praise the talents of the narrators, Erin Bennett and Hillary Huber for their acting performances. Boosting the personalities of each characters, the drama and intensity of the story. It was an addicting audiobook to listen to. Big 5☆ for an "award-winning" voice-acting performances and narration.
If you are to read the novel, get the Audiobook! It's guaranteed to give you the thrill and suspense in double form. This is my 2nd audiobook of Riley Sager and one of the best 5☆ thrillers I've listened to. MUST LISTEN before you die.
Mind blowing suspense-thriller at its best.
