Loved it!!! Would have listened even longer to it. Good twists. Liked the voices a lot too.

It was great!

I enjoyed the book but I wouldn’t read it again! I really liked the narrators voices.

Okay! Nice read

Narration is captivating. But I can’t get over the plot holes. Still worth a listen

Incredible performance but massive plot holes

The first part was too long winded. That was really the biggest problem I had with this book. Also, Leo was a really confusing character. Another character that wasn't good was Kate. But Meredith was a really good character! I also liked the narrative style of the story, I loved the story itself and the last part was really brilliant! With the "who" plot, I had a feeling at the beginning like in all other thrillers, who it could be and I was right. But the "how" and "what" plots were so well done that they surprised me a little.

That was quite a thriller.

Prepare for a literary rollercoaster ride with "Local Woman Missing." This novel, centered around the mysterious disappearance of two women from an wealthy neighborhood 11 years ago.
In the present, a teenage girl who has escaped from captivity has a startling connection to the missing women. It takes readers on a thrilling journey that is as perplexing as it is captivating. My initial reaction to the narrative was so intense that I found myself momentarily stopping the book, exclaiming, "What the heck did I just read?"

The story unfolds through the perspectives of Kate, Meredith, and Leo. While Leo brings a degree of intrigue to the narrative, I couldn't help but find all characters somewhat mediocre. Leo, while more engaging than the others, left me questioning the necessity of his role as a narrator. Exploring the viewpoints of additional characters, such as the villain and the young girl, could have injected more dynamism into the storyline. Unfortunately, Shelby's character, with its potential for complexity, remained underdeveloped, resulting in a missed opportunity for a more compelling narrative.

The initial 80% of the book maintained a decent level of engagement, but it struggled to fully captivate my attention. A solid 3-star read up to that point, my enthusiasm began to wane as the narrative took unexpected turns. The series of twists that unfolded in the latter part of the book, rather than enhancing the story, left me increasingly dissatisfied.

Each twist seemed to escalate the plot into realms of implausibility, prompting a downward revision of my star rating. The first twist left me exclaiming, "Seriously? All of this because of that?" The second twist had me shaking my head, deeming it as nothing short of nonsensical. By the time the third twist unraveled, I found myself audibly laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of it.

In addition to the unsatisfying twists, the narrative suffered from dropped storylines, creating frustrating plot holes and leaving a multitude of unanswered questions. The potential for a riveting tale was overshadowed by the narrative's descent into implausibility.

Ultimately, "Local Woman Missing" had the potential to be a gripping mystery, but the excessive and implausible twists, along with underdeveloped characters, resulted in a disappointing read for me.
