Learn how to overcome fear, build confidence and live more authentically in the empowering book from psychologist Dr Pippa Grange, portrayed by Jodie Whittaker in the BBC drama Dear England.

If we were truly free from fear, what could we achieve?

Fear affects us all. It makes us anxious, shameful or turns us into perfectionists. We pretend to be someone else while aiming for a status that's never truly satisfying. But there is another way. A way to live free from fear, find your true voice and win on your own terms.
In Fear Less, leading psychologist Dr Pippa Grange shares the mindset and emotional principles that helped reshape the culture of the England football team during their historic 2018 World Cup run under Gareth Southgate, showing you how to:

  • Build confidence and emotional resilience
  • Let go of perfectionism and self-doubt
  • Develop healthier relationships
  • Find purpose and fulfilment
  • Communicate more openly and honestly
  • Redefine success on your own terms

Drawing on decades of experience in psychology, leadership and performance coaching, Pippa Grange shows all of us how, by starting to live with less fear, we can find our real passions and deeper fulfilment.

This type of success isn't about trophies or beating others, it's about winning at the very deepest level: winning from within.

It's time to fear less.

The content of this book is excellent. It’s interesting, well-written and insightful, and gave me several “ah-ha!” moments about my own thought processes & behaviours. Unfortunately, I found the audio production more troublesome; I have listened to several interviews with Dr. Grange, and she has a voice that is very easy to listen to, and a nice accent, but, for whatever reason, she seemed to be whispering throughout most of this book, except for a few occasions when she had to re-record segments, and then used her normal voice. The whispering was difficult to understand in places, and the switches between that and her normal voice was jarring (and disappointing when it switched back!). It’s a pity, because it distracts from what is otherwise an excellent book.

Content is excellent, delivery a little whispery
