The problem I had with it is that it is too big in a way. 90% of the story is a buildup towards the final crecendo, and when it finally comes it really isnt all that crazy. It ends at the point where you would REALLY hope for a second book to begin, because things might finally spiral out of control, but it doesnt seem like one is coming. Also, the whole story is about what happens to the crown dominion, not what happens to the characters. That creates a super weird sort of plot armour where people can only die when it couldnt introduce an immediate plot twist, since again, EVERYTHING is exclusively building towards the final crescendo.
I will not listen to this again, but if you love huge scopes and sci-fi intrigues its worth a listen
