I enjoyed this book and due to the ending, I am a bit worried that this might conclude the Nikki Galena series. However, for the very first time with a book by Joy Ellis I felt that the story dragged out a bit too much and was a bit unlikely and over-constructed. I cannot say what it is because it would give too much away, but I felt that the final twist took this too far and was not really credible. Anyhow, good story, great characters and great reading by Henrietta Meire.

Very good, but not a 5 star story

I really enjoy Joy Ellis‘ series but I really feel like the narrator makes it so hard to stomach. She makes all the characters sound like caricatures, it’s so painful. Do not recommend as an audiobook. Not even sure if I disliked the story so much due to the narrator. Disappointing.
