Micah Robertson, code-named Lash, has always loved Alex from the first moment their eyes met. The two main characters have a very difficult relationship with each other and I wondered the whole time how the two of them were able to get along at all. There are so many people involved in the kidnapping story that I unfortunately lost track from time to time, but overall it was very exciting. However, I'm not so happy with the narrator. Micah tortures his way through the story and is a badass special ops agent, but has a voice way too high. This was particularly noticeable about 30 minutes before the end during the “reconciliation scene”, where I unfortunately couldn't stop laughing. I'm sure that wasn't entirely intentional ;).

Another wonderful love story amidst a horrible tragedy. Micah and Alex are just meant to be together and they both deserve their HEA. And I definately love the epilogue with the start of a new year ahead. I cannot wait to listen to the next one in line. Well deserved five stars.

Exciting and good story. Although it was very intense for me because of the human trafficking ring....
I definitely liked the surprising happy ending. Very nicely done! I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series.
As for the narrator, unfortunately he hasn't improved which makes the story flat. I think it would be better to read the story itself in a book instead of listening to it.
