Amazing
Once again Brandon Sanderson has prooven why he is my all time favorite author. Reading all his fantasy books, I am astonished how amazingly he transitioned to Scyfi. I love this Story and Suzy Jackson, who I am now hearing for the first time has made Spin come to life. In short, I LOVE THIS SERIES! Keep it coming!

No science in this - but still good
There is very little to no science in this “science fiction” book - even less than in the previous two books.
It is still an interesting book that I’m happy to have read/listened to.
That said, if Sanderson and his team would put more emphasis and effort into including/honoring actual science then this would be much more enjoyable, still.

Mediocre
One of the weaker Sanderson novels.
It has the usual quirky characters and dialogue, but ovwrall I felt that Sanderson just rushes out too much stuff at the moment and it is becoming more about quantity than quality.
First series where I am not sure I will buy the next book, as the skyward novels started quite allright but lost quality with every book.

Going nowhere

Schwächstes der drei Bücher
Wurde mir etwas zu viel mit diesem AI Evolvement und diese andauernden Monologe über die eigene Stärke. Fand es extrem langatmig und irgendwie zu abstrakt.

over-emotional
This is the first sanderson book that took me more than a month to listen through. It did not hook me up like the most of his fantastic books. I think the reasons are first, the extreme focus on the emotions of the characters: everyone tells you all the time how he/she/it (even AIs) feels. The second weekness in my opinion is the "magic" system in this one. The stregth of Sanderson's other systems and worlds are their clear rules and limits but this one is very exotic and hard to make sense of. Third, M-Bot had been my favourite character in the first two books, but in this one he is more like an annoying child and loses much of his character.
I want to point out that the book is not bad, just a waeker one compared to Sanderson's other masterpieces.
