Über diesen Titel

Captain Jackson Wolfe never thought he'd see the end of the Phage War in his lifetime. The enemy was too powerful, too numerous, and utterly determined to exterminate humanity.

But the appearance of a new ally in the fight has changed all of that. For the first time since the original incursion, Wolfe thinks that maybe there's a chance to stop their implacable enemy before they have the chance to wipe out any more human planets. That opportunity comes at great cost, however, and even as he makes plans for their first offensive move on the Phage, Jackson is all too aware that most of them will not survive.

Ein gutes Finale für diese Trilogie, mit der selben Qualität wie die ersten zwei Bücher.

Absolutely thrilling and fascinating. Just sharing in short after listening to all 3 Books in a row.
Jackson Wolff and his crew accompanied me during commuting from home to work and vice-versa, as well along one or the other longer rides by car. You’d, in my opinion, miss something if you skip listening to this adventure. Great Story, I wasn’t bored even for a minute, as well has Mark Boyett done a great job. Chapeau to all involved.. Thank you.!!!

Do not miss it…

Good book.
But the repentive remarks of captain wolf, ^^I see^^ was going on my nerves.
At times I was not surprised at the plottwists, maybe a lol bit too shallow.
On the whole enjoy able.

I see

Short Version:
Good, classic space opera that could have used some fine-tuning.

Long Version:
The story is as classic as you can imagine. A good, honorable and brilliant protagonist must take on an invincible enemy and at the same time prevail against resistance from his own ranks.
This is the recipe for many good and even more terrible stories.
Here we have a representative from the upper midfield.
My biggest criticism:
The protagonist's backstory is not particularly well developed. Why is he so brilliant and the only one who has a plan of tactics? This is a bit strange since it's clearly described why everyone else doesn't have a plan. Simply because it's not necessary. This simplicity is wonderful! But couldn't he have at least played chess or been interested in history? Because there was no need for him to have that knowledge either.
Two to three paragraphs of explanation spread across the three books would have been enough for me.
To the positive:
I like the descriptions of the aliens and their motivations. Some of it even has depth and still leaves room for your own ideas. I also like the way the characters' appearance is described. Everything necessary has been said without drowning in meaningless details.
In addition, the narrator is well chosen. He has a pleasant voice and conveys both accents and dialects well. The audio quality was a bit difficult here and there, but that could also be because I'm not a native speaker.

All in all, it was a pleasant 24 hours that I would definitely recommend to fans of the classic space opera. However, newcomers to the topic may search for "The Lost Fleet" (pun intended) and come back to earth a little later.

Rating for the first Trilogy
