After loving Bourbon and Lies, this second installment was highly anticipated—and it did not disappoint. Lincoln, the sexy, charming single dad introduced in book one, is a perfect mix of protective alpha and devoted father. His character has just the right balance of rough edges and soft heart.
Faye is bold, confident, and knows how to wield her sensuality. Often underestimated, she proves she’s more than capable of holding her own. The burlesque club setting adds a sexy, glamorous vibe that turns up the heat.
The suspense is well-paced, the spice is delicious, and the chemistry between the main characters is electric.
The narration is strong: Meghan Wicks brings Faye to life with her raspy, sultry delivery—though the child voices weren’t quite age-accurate. Lee Samuels nails Lincoln’s confident, magnetic energy. Together, they elevate the story and pull you right into the world of the Foxx brothers.
Highly recommend for fans of small-town romantic suspense with spice and heart.
