Ive been a fan of Catherine Cowles for quite a while, I read all of her books and can confidently said this is one of her best works! The bad at the end surprise the hell out of me! I was so sure about who was guilty but leave it to Miss Cowles to show me I am just like Jon Snow and know nothing!

I really liked the story and the setting. The male narrator hat this thing going on, where he would not go down with his voice at the end of a sentence, but up. That was a little weired for me, but I am no native speaker, so maybe that was intentional.

Absolutely loved this story!! I’m new to Catherine Cowles books, and this won’t be the last book of hers.
Loved the family dynamic, the small town and this story had me already sucked in while listening the prologue!! What a start!! Full on crying already 🥺
