Es war - nach "The Apprentice" - mein zweites Hörbuch von Tess Gerritsen. Die Story ist gut, der Spannungsbogen stimmig. Mir gefiel, dass diesmal Jane Rizzoli nicht im absoluten Mittelpunkt stand, die Geschichte um sie jedoch trotzdem weiter geführt wurde. Es gibt viel Hintergrund zu Maura Isles.

Die Vorlesestimme von Kathe Mazur ist soweit in Ordnung. Für mich kein absolutes Highlight - aber angenehm.

Das Buch macht mich neugierig auf die Fortsetzung. Insgesamt von mir eine Empfehlung.

prima Geschichten, gut erzählt, sehr spannend bis zum letzten gesprochenen Wort. sehr empfehlenswert. gute Sprecherin mit angenehmer stimme.

Für alle Fans ein Muss. Konnte es nicht lassen alle 10 stunden in 4 Abenden zu hören. sehr spannend von der ersten Minute an und auch die Stimme passt super. Bin gerade begeistert, wie sie die Charaktere rüberbringen konnte. Auch Rizzolis "Zustand" wird anschaulich dargestellt und in die Handlung eingebaut.

when first starting to listen to this book, I felt the monotonous voice of kathe mazur felt like sandpaper, grinding on my nerves and polishing away all the fine points of the story. but then, just when I thought I could bear it no longer, she broke out, gave every character their own voice, their own live and I must say, I had to listen to the whole book in one go... the story itself is so full. laden with layers upon layers of mystery and dark corners where you feel dreadful things must lurk, but don't, and bright and sunlit patches that feel save but are the stage to unbelievable terror. in the end it is nothing you have not heard about (murder, stolen children sold to adoption agencies, the search for ones identity, the decision between a love that is impossible and one that is imperfect etc) but newly combined in masterfully woven threads, that in the end create a horrific carpet of suspense, emotions, desparation and salvation. the great thing is that almost until the end it holds surprises, it twists and turns under your grasp.truly good entertainment.
