Galatea. The Mercenary's Star. Even the most down on their luck units can find work here. Leading the newly-formed Gray Death Legion has been challenging for Grayson Death Carlyle, so when a job comes their way, he’s only too happy to take it. The mission: train the local resistance on the planet Verthandi to resist their Draconis Combine masters.

But things do not go well almost from the moment the Legion arrives. Another gripping story about one young Grayson Death Carlyle and his band of Mercenaries. A must for any Battletech Fan and a wellrounded 2nd entry to the Gray Death Trilogy. Again Mr. Sparks does a phenomenal job with the different characters, brining them and their quirks to life! I hope there will be more Battletechbooks coming onto Audible soon with Mr. Sparks at the microphone. Maybe the excellent Warrior Trilogy?

Just as good as the first book!

I tried to read the book twice before, both times abandoning it about a third through.
I think it's because the pacing is too slow at the beginning by hammering in how desperate the situation is. But the action picks up, and it becomes enjoyable. The next book is very important for Battletech lore, so I'm glad I could pull through this time

Obwohl in englischer Sprache, ein gutes Hörbuch. Den dritten Band höre ich als nächstes. Gut zu verstehen, wenn man sich Mühe gibt und englisch kann. Die deutschen Romane vorher zu kennen macht es nochmal deutlich einfache. 😃
