I've read about 50 Battletech novels and this was one of the worst: totally absurd tactics, cringe dialogues, wooden characters and an ending that leaves you speechless...and not in a good way. Furthermore, the narrators try their best to prevent a total shipwreck, but fail. Why two stars then? Well, it was entertaining, even gripping sometimes, and still better than Hour of the Wolf.

When a Jade Falcon is the most believable character.
