Über diesen Titel
The worst thing about the end of the world is we did it to ourselves.
Isaac Thoma lived to see the last handful of survivors defeat the demonic champion. He is now alone, his past in ashes, the last and most powerful human on a blighted Earth. But what if he could go back?
Hurled back in time, Isaac has one chance to change it all. A chance to warn humanity of their impending doom. A chance to stop the [System] before shortsightedness and lust for power can render humanity extinct. Facing malign deities, demonic hordes, and the unstoppable march of human greed, Isaac will give his all to prevent the end that has already happened on the day the world became quantified.
Apocalypse Redux is a pre-apocalyptic LitRPG by Jakob H. Greif (a.k.a. Wilderfast). A rationalist approach to fighting the end of the world amidst mind-bending adventures and battles against infernal forces, Apocalypse Redux is the series that took RoyalRoad by storm. Buy it now to see if humanity’s fate can be changed. To see if one man with a second chance at life can rise up and make a difference.

Great story …very cleverly developed

The story is pretty good and makes somewhat sense. I like the theme of going back in time to fix things though I still think there are some negatives to point out.
The story is slow to start and doesn't really pick up the pace much but if you think of it as the beginning of probably a multi book series it makes sense to begin a little slow. The only thing I really didn't like were the overdetailed information's to the system that pop up in the beginning like there is one thing you want to know but you are blasted with a whole list of things that are not relevant at the moment or at all. I understand the reason behind this is probably to show that the system is well thought out but its still quite annoying sometimes.
Of course that also counts for the "status" update every 2-3 minutes in the beginning thankfully the oversharing of information got better later on in the book and wasn't as annoying as before.
Narration was on point for me seeing that this book plays in Germany I loved the German accents where they were used and was definitely glad that not all especially the MC did not have an accent.
Character separation was definitively given meaning pretty much every character had a unique voice, tone or accent wich is quite a feat given that there were Italian, Spanish and German accents and quite a few characters to be given a voice.
All in all a solid story and a solid audiobook I would recommend this one to everyone who likes this type of genre even if it is not as action heavy as some of my favorites in this genre.
Pretty good start to a story

It is a classic "return to the past" story, but the MC takes another route instead of the classic "use all the knowledge to my advantage and power-level as fast as possible". He still levels, but its not his goal to become the strongest per se. Instead he tries to bring humanity up as a whole by helping research.
I really enjoyed the mix between some action (mostly not difficult yet, since its developing slowly) and the, well, kinda slice-of-life style of narrating, where we learn more about our MC and some other casts.
In addition we do get a some interesting foreshadowing in this first book, from the psychological struggles of a (apocalypthic) returnee, to the slight differences in reality our MC notices compared to the first timeline.
Overall, if you like stories with a system, a return-to-the-past setting without the cliche lonewolf MC, as well as good worldbuilding and a more or less focus on the life of the MC? This might be for you.
The narrator is fine overall, a few female voices are a little weird, but still okay. I got used to it pretty fast and had no issued to comfortably listen to the end.
Great overall
