This book is extremely well written and superbly red. It's able to make you start dreaming while listening...thank you for a lot of magnificient hours of listening.

Aus den Geschichtsbüchern kennt man nur die Geschichte von Apollo 11. Wer diese Wissenslücke schliessen möchte, ist mit diesem Werk sehr gut beraden. Der Sprecher macht einen hervorragenden Job, und verleiht einem ein starkes "mitten drin statt nur dabei" Gefühl.

Andrew Chaikins Werk ist die Krönung aller Erzählungen und Schilderungen des Apollo-Programms. Niemand geht dabei so intensiv auch auf die Emotionen der beteiligten Personen ein. Ein literarisches Meisterwerk. Die darauf basierende Mini-Serie "From The Earth To The Moon" (HBO) sei danach wärmstens empfohlen.
