This is one of the best books I recently read.
As a trauma pedagogy worker, I appreciate greatly how accurate the depiction of trauma and PTSD is in this book. Great training material for aspiring and experienced mental health professionals.
The story itself is deep and has many layers, both rooted in different stages of life and in the biographies of different people. I also loved the shifts from one character to another and how the story became more and more whole with every chapter.
There is also a very accurate depiction of grief, or rather different ways to grieve.
Beware that this book has some triggering parts e.g. self-harm and eating disorders as well as sexual, physical and emotional abuse and some more.
Overall, the story makes one reflect on life and, although the story itself is sad, on its beauty and hopefulness. While reading, I did think a lot about all the amazing people in my life and all the great things I was gifted with

Devastatingly heartbreaking. A book I will never be able to move on from. Shattering to the bone. A story so deep, so tragic and read with so much passion and devotion. To recommend it would be somehow cruel yet never read a better book in life
