I liked how the author handled the real life passing of EIIR by jumping back in time for her next adventure. I also really liked the character of Joan and hope we will see more of her in the next book.
I adore Samantha Bond as an actress and do not mean to offend but her French accent was so distractingly bad that it made me puff my chest a couple of times. Hopefully she won’t need to do any accents in the next one.

Vorneweg: die Geschichte ist (wieder) sehr spannend und so sehr ich Rozie Oshodi liebe, Joan mag ich noch ein bißchen mehr.
Schade finde ich, dass hier die selbe Sprecherin agiert: wunderbar passend für die Queen in ihren sehr späten Lebensjahren, aber meiner Meinung nach zu alt für die junge Frau, der wir hier begegnen und die uns ja auch an ihren Gedanken und Gefühlen teilhaben lässt.

Story was sensationell . I love the narrator as an actress , but she sounds far too old for a 32 year old queen ( besides her French was just awful )
