    Inhaltsangabe

When Feyre kills a wolf, a beastlike creature arrives to demand retribution for it. Dragged to a magical land, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal. As she dwells on his estate, her feelings for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of the Fae. But an ancient shadow is growing, and Feyre must find a way to stop it....

    Holding out hope

This book was so hyped and I was looking forward to it a lot. Unfortunately, as much as I wanted to, I didn't love it. I do like the premise, but the main character was annoyingly stupid (I mean, the riddle she was supposed to solve to save them all was SO obvious and easy that everything happening after it bothered me to a point that I couldn't let it go) and the love story was predictable and cheesy if not even cringeworthy at times.
I absolutely didn't like the narrator and I think that I might have liked the main character a bit better if the narrator hadn't been so extremely annoying, but there is no telling now.
Finally, what redeemed to book a bit for me is the character of rhys and his and feyra's chemistry that was so much more interesting and convincing than that between her and tam. This is also the reason why I ordered the 2nd installment of the series (this time to read and not to listen to, honestly I can't take the bored and slow rendition of the story even for another second) in the hopes of maybe finding more rhys/feyra in there and a little more depth and character development. Fingers crossed.

    Insgesamt gute Geschichte, tolle Sprecherin

what a waste of precious time

This predictable teenage fantasy of a story has barely any twists or plots. #wastedtime

Entertaining but just a bit too shallow and predictable

The story in on itself is fine. It just feels like it’s not entirely fleshed out.
Still you want to know how things evolve afterwards and I hope it gets better.
The narrator though. Even if she’s able to transport emotions and feelings quite well, I just couldn’t get over her lisp. It is just slight, but it’s there and always throws me off the story.

    Very bad writing, bad plot

Very hyped, but absolutely not worth it. The plot is very forseeable and basic, the characters are bland and the writing is worse than any published author I've ever seen. Honestly, I barelyade it thru the first three chapters, so maybe it'll get better after that but I cannot force myself to waste any more time on this.

    Anstrengend

    Amazing

Since these books have been out for a while, I was kinda spoiled but also not. So this was really interesting, hard and at times even funny. I really like the characters but doubt everyone’s intentions with Feyre. I have no clue where all of this will go and I like it that way.

    The Protagonist hurts

I like the voice of Jennifer Ikeda. And she truly makes a good job. But Fyre the Protagonist hurts me so much. She is painfully dum. I heard that’s the second book is better then this one but it was a journey trough thorny roses listening to this book.

I like the writing style and the detail how the author writes the book. But the World is shallow and I have the feeling to glittery for my taste (I don’t know how to describe it) the world feels off. The people feel off. I’m not drawn towards the characters they just are there. No life. There decisions make no sense and are driven to make the plot a plot not because you think it’s the logical way to do. There was no time in this book where I thought :“yes I would do the same“ accept maybe killing the wolf.

In Short the story lacks something.
The Protagonist behaves with no Common sense. And I mean that not in a good way.
    And the world is shallow.

    Must listen!

I have read this series and I was so in love with it that I had to listen to it, too. Beautiful story, magical world, surprising plot twists. Exciting, romantic, cruel. For everyone who loves faerie worlds and fantasy. And the best part is that it is a series and you can keep diving into this faerie world.

Ugh - beautiful story with so much depth and surprises

I am sad that this book is over. I would have loved to go on and on.
Jennifers Voice is wonderful and speaks to the energy of each scene so well.
