It's all a matter of opinion, but Carter's day is going pretty badly. He's an engineer captured by bug aliens, now depending on his large, muscled, naked cage mates for food and warmth. They seem sentient, so that's good. But they're also handsy. Which is...complicated.

The military isn't looking for him. Slaves taken by the bug race never come back. Yet, Carter is very much alive, and if he wants to stay that way, he'll need to trust Pykh and Siel, two affectionate aliens with claws, teeth, and size.

I expected a crude and overly sexual story with little plot, strong alphas and not much else. I thought I wouldn’t like that this is a m/m/m romance.
I did not expect this. The story is not silly. It’s a story about survivors of enslavement in a cruel world, with all the dread and guilt and depression that goes with that. But it’s also funny and so so sweet. And don’t get me wrong, there are many steamy scenes. But the characters are so sweet and wonderful that you can’t help but fall in love with them and pykhe’s perpetual horniness. It’s just him, you know.
I listened to all the books except the last one so far and I didn’t get bored, I’m really invested and just had to give this recommendation.

I have read a lot of M/M stories but this one really tries something new I haven't come across before. It gets better with every book. In my opinion, this series is one of Joel Leslie's best work ever.

I really Love this Series. It has the right amount of hot scenes but doesn’t rely on them. They are woven wonderfully in a very interesting story - at the right time and with the right amount. The story itself is clever. I’ll let you feel the planet and its people.

I really love those books and enjoy listen to them every now and then again.
The only thing that made me horrified was the barbing... first time listening to this book i had nightmares for days, seriously. Every other time since then i listen to it again i feel like going sick it is just this horrible, so nowadays i go fast forward on it but still when it's mentioned = feeling sick. On the other side this really makes it so real and alive, so no matter how often you listen to it and already now it by heart you can listen to it again. Of course having such a great narrator painting it with his voice so colorful is the prettiest cherry on a really good icing!

Seriously, this is amazing, yes, it’s a bit odd at first, but once you get over the whole alien thing it’s just lovely and funny and thrilling. The story is great, the narration on point (Joel Leslie, duh) and I seriously recommend this.
