Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance (Dramatised)
Inhaltsangabe
James Purefoy stars in this BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation of Robert M. Pirsig's multi-million best-selling philosophical novel. One of the most important and influential books of the past half-century, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance tells the iconic story of a father and son's motorcycle trip across America in the 1960s. Yet it also describes a personal and philosophical journey, asking questions along the way about how to live a meaningful life.
Now dramatised for the first time by Peter Flannery (Our Friends in the North, George Gently, The Devil's Whore) and starring James Purefoy (Rome, Injustice, Ironclad), this full-cast drama adds a new and original dimension to a true modern classic.

By day they inhabit a land of bright fantastic birds and dark blue seas, but at night their dreams are haunted by the image of a terrifying beast. Dramatic!
This Version of the book contains a lot of (mostly pointless) background music and noises. Both is mixed so loudly that the spoken text of the narrators is sometimes hard to understand.
Most annoyingly, the philosophical content of the original book seems to have been almost completely excluded from this version, save for a few paragraphs.
I do not recommend this audiobook.

a bit weird, but I get the point
After all very good. Loved the narrator, he did an awesome job. I got this book as a recommendation. I see why, because it shows nicely the conflict one can have between how you want to be and how you should be.
I found it a bit off, but nothing to bad, can recommend
