Regardless of our religious beliefs, please let us love and respect each other. Please let us learn from the mistakes of the past which is not less real because it happened long ago. The present reality needs our active love for each other just as much. I am a child and grandchild of the after-war generation. I'm grateful for my life in peace so far, and I wish for my children and grandchildren to live their lives in peace.
This story is a great witness of the suffering and the love of innocent people as well as this book is a reminder of real evil.
