It went downhill the moment they asked me to do a trial shift instead of an interview - to see if I'd mesh with their "special" clientele. I think that part went great. Their customers were complete dickheads, and I was an asshole right back. That's the definition of fitting in, right?

I expected to get thrown out on my ass. Instead, they...offered me the job?

It turns out this place isn't a bar. It's a guild. And the three cocky guys I drenched with a margarita during my trial? Yeah, they were mages. Either I'm exactly the kind of takes-no-sh-t bartender this guild needs, or there's a good reason no one else wants to work here.

So what's a broke girl to do? Take the job, of course - with a pay raise.

Good start for the series but not as good as the first Demonized book.
Also a bit too expensive, half price would be more appropriate.

But all in all a good story and a interesting world.

I loved these books the first time around, and I’m still excited. I liked the story, the characters are great and I enjoyed the setting.

Die Geschichte ist schön erzählt, spannend, oft lustig, kurzum: ein echter Regentagsretter. Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Teil.

Very entertaining! Fast paced and whitty, likable characters, engaging storyline. I got all three books in as many days...

First I did not want to listen to the story because of the childish looking cover but I am soo glad that I gave it a try!
The series is just fun and get better!
I can only recommend to listen to the complete series as the author is suggesting it on her webpage !

Don’t be fooled by the cover!

Ich bin wohl das was man "picky" nennen würde. Ich suche bevorzugt Urban Fantasy und vor allem will ich dabei lachen können. Dieses hier klang vielversprechend und es hat mich nicht enttäuscht. Einziger Wermutstropfen für mich sind die vielen "perfect abs" und smoking hot body's". Diese perfekten Leute überall langweilen mich komplett, aber ich kann mit Freude sagen dass sich die Reihe trotzdem weder jetzt noch später zum Frauenmysteryporno entwickelt und sie wird immer besser. Also: versucht es Leute, es lohnt sich.

I'm picky about my readings. I prefer Urban Fantasy with a good dose of humor. This one seemed promising and it didn't fail me. Only thing to brag about are the lots of "perfect abs" and "smoking hot body's", I'm so tired of that. But I'm glad to announce it isn't and isn't going to be "womenmysteryporn" and it's evolving. So: try it, it's worth it

I love this narrator. She is perfect to change to different voices, entertaining - short thing to say to describe her … she is awesome.
