the base story is mostly fairly solid, not the best from the Author, but solid. But there are some hard dealbreakers in there. a random farmgirl decides on a whim to hunt a dragon that could kill her with a flick of his wrist, which she is extremely anxious about when even think about. and the dragon goes on and on about how unjustly prosecuted he is, and how he has commited no crimes, when the book open with him randomly assaulting the Female Lead, trying to painfully read her mind and insulting him. on their second meeting he assaults her again with debilitating spells. and the Female Lead doesn't even call that out or seems to even consider that criminal.
would be fine if it was addressed and waved away, but just seemingly accepting that none of his acts are remotely criminal just doesn't work, and make the make lead into a douchebag jerk that does not face consequences for his crimes in any form at all.

TL;DR: the author has written plenty of good books, this is not one of them. best to not waste your money on this one.
