Dialekt des Sprechers nicht auszuhalten
Ich persönlich finde, dass der stark amerikanische Dialekt des Sprechers dieses Hörbuch unhörbar macht. Schade drum, so musste ich leider früh aufhören mit diesem Buch, so ist keine Stimmung beim hören aufgekommen.

Sadly not on the same level as Pilgrim
I have to say I was very surprised by this book. My expectations were so high and I’ve been waiting for years for it to come out.
It just wasn’t as good as Pilgrim but it started with all the potential to be a brilliant story.
The first half of the book was great and then it turned into some kind of weird sci fi stuff, which was stupid, not believable and even the non sci fi bits had hugely unbelievable aspects.
There were a ome really great parts to the story, the people, the original challenge. The Magus bit could have been so good but drifted into nothing. The last chapters seemed really rushed and were totally unsatisfactory.
It must have been so hard for the author to follow up with a second book after such a masterpiece. Maybe that’s why it took so long for the book to be released. I feel bad for him actually. I think I’ll go back and read Pilgrim yet again to make me feel better about his amazing story telling.
