Über diesen Titel

The brilliant mind that presented the world with A Brief History of Time offers more insights into the mysteries of the universe.

Based on a series of lectures given at Cambridge University, The Theory of Everything presents the most complex concepts of physics—both past and present—in a clear and accessible manner. Acclaimed physicist and author of A Brief History of Time—which has sold more than 25 million copies—Stephen Hawking enlightens audiences and exposes them to the rich history of scientific thought and the complexities of the universe in which we live. Hawking presents a compelling look at our universe, its creation, and how we see ourselves within it.

The title of this book is so alluring that the end is beyond disappointing. All that Stefan Hawking did was hold my attention, relatively that is, so I keep going. However, the book didn't fulfill its supposed promise of explaining what would be the "Theory of Everything." It rather elaborated on common knowledge that one could get from more interesting sources. Ultimately, watching a sci-fi on space travel is more informative and interesting than this book. Perhaps the author's mention of the "mirage" analogy at the end was not a coincidence. After all, reading this book was pretty much chasing a mirage!
