Highly recommendable report, illustrating the Pacific theater of WW2 out of the perspective of many people: Combattants, politicians and civilians of all sides.
The narrator has done an outstanding job!

This book‘s scope is rather ambitious. It attempts to present a concise narrative of the history of the Fall of the Japanese Empire in the context of national politics, the war in China and the pacific war.

The analysis of the internal political situation and diplomatic relations with the US in the pre-war years alone would be worth the read.

However, the author managed to include a history of the Second World War in the pacific theatre from the Japanese perspective.

Delivery is superb, as can be expected from a Blackstone Audio production. Well done, Mr. Weiner.
