Die Geschichte fesselt über die komplette Zeit. Selbst gegen Ende der 40? Stunden befürchtet man fast panisch, dass das Hörbuch irgendwann zu Ende geht. John Lee liest sehr angenehm, unterhaltsam und klar verständlich!

Eins der Besten Bücher von Ken Follet, und John Lee liest es einfach klasse. Es macht Freude zuzuhören.

Vorab: das Buch zum Hörbuch gehört seit Jahren zu meinen bevorzugten Büchern, die ich immer wieder vorkrame und lese (mittlerweile besitze ich es in deutscher und englischer Sprache).

Das Hörbuch war für mich interessant, weil ich nun diese lange, epische Geschichte im Alltag mitnehmen konnte. John Lee hat eine angenehme, mitreissende Erzählstimme und kann Tiefe und Emotion glaubwürdig vermitteln. Das Vorwort von Ken Follet gibt interessante Einblicke in den Werdegang von "Pillars".
