It's an insightful story, a fantastic narrator, short to say it's an awesome book to listen to

A deaf ice queen and a musician who was a foster child meet. Both lonely inside and full of determination to lead a successful life. A sensitive look into deaf culture and the hurtful misjudgments that hearing people often make. The story is never moral, but rather compassionate and also exciting and very romantic! The situation of the single mother and her son is also beautifully described.
And Abby Craden is a great read as always! Her interpretations are so nuanced and convey so much more than the words! Little Max immediately touches the heart, Kathy's cracks shimmer under her strong and friendly manner, and Vivian's slightly broken, hoarse, somewhat hesitant, hard-trained way of speaking, which conveys strength and insecurity at the same time: Great!!!

A touching story! Romantic and meaningful, deserves to be heard!
