A cut-throat clique is determined to get their slots in the Ivy League at whatever cost necessary. When early decision college admissions come around, one of them deviated from the plan and is found dead.

Our protagonist goes an investigates only to find that her friends have been keeping more than a few secrets from her and her dead friend is less innocent than she had presumed. The story is paced well and takes you for a ride in an ultra-exclusive private college. Some motifs of race and class are touched upon, but probably could have done with more exploring.
If you're looking for a challenging read, this is probably not going to be the best candidate, but it is entertaining. The ending arc feels a tiny bit rushed and a lot more unrealistic even within the books setting, but the conclusion is satisfying and makes sense.

The main character is likeable enough, though I wouldn't say that she's fully fleshed out in a lot of her actions. She'll go along with the flow and the plot to not bring you out of it. The voice acting is well done and I enjoyed listening to the audiobook.
