I love that Lola Tung is narrating this story! I was planning on reading the 2nd and 3rd book, but I enjoyed her reading so much I decided to listen to those books as well.

I listened to a lot of crime stories in my mother tongue before this one and it needed a bit to get into it, but I really liked listening to the speaker and floated back to my own teenage summers, crushes etc. I could relate and wonder what Belly and Conrad are up to…. ;-)

Easy listening

Die Sprecherin fand ich zuerst ziemlich irritierend mit ihrem ständigen Lächeln und die Geschichte war mir etwas langatmig und zäh. Mit der Zeit habe ich mich aber rein gehört und mich dabei auch wieder etwas an meine eigene Teenager-Zeit zurück erinnert. Alles in allem eine nette und teils berührende Geschichte. Und auch die authentische Art der Sprecherin hat mir zuletzt gut gefallen.

I am far away from my teenage years but I loved hearing this book. The story is a bit like these teenage films in the early 2000s, didn't catch me that much - BUT Lola Tungs voice is so great. I felt like I was watching, loved hearing her telling the story. Grinning, half laughing, angry. Altgough my english isn't too good, I understood every word. Think, Lola Tung should read many more Audiobooks.

This book is quite entertaining and easy to listen to. The basic idea of ​​the story and the characters are well thought out, but not extensively elaborated on. Unimportant events are discussed at length and in detail, while important and interesting scenes hardly find the space they could take up. The ending is ambigugous and leaves you hanging. This book is not a "must read" but it's honest in its portrayal of relationships and interfamilial communication.

I am a 40 year old Woman, far away from my teenage years. But man, do I love a good lovestory.
Because there will always be this teenage girl inside of me.
I also love, that Lola herself reads the book. Gives us all the Belly vibes 🫶🏻

ich hatte zuerst die Serie geschaut und dann gesehen dass das Hörbuch von Lola Tung, also Dee Serien Belly gesprochen wird und musste es dann einfach runterladen. Sie hat so eine schöne Stimme und hat so wahnsinnig gut erzählt! die Geschichte ist die perfekte coming of age Story, die Charaktere alle so liebenswert! ich kann es kaum erwarten Buch 2 zu hören (dort wird auch der Serien Jeremiah mitsprechen, yeyy)

I have to give a big compliment to the narrator. She did such a great job. I loved listening to her. Her happy voice brought real life to the story.

The story was everything my heart needed. I could relate to so many thoughts the teenage girl had too. It made me be okay with the things I did and thought in the past. Because these things are just a part of growing up.
