Great Story with a satisfying end that doesn’t leave open questions.
Michael Kramer is one of the best readers I’ve listened to so far. You can instantly identify who’s talking with the voices he gives to the characters without it seeming unnatural or exaggerated. Very enjoyable.
Also: the story explores some interesting values about trust, hope and faith that are the theme of the books.

I had read and imagined many epic stories but this one tops it all.

If I could, I would make a movie of it right away. It would be like the third Lord of the Rings movie just it's epic flare all along.

It was no surprise that I enjoyed the first two books, but I really shouldn't have liked this one. I usually hate it when main characters suddenly become extremely powerful like Elend - what a ill fitting name. Though he isn't that overpowered. But the book is far too much focused on religion for my taste and than the ending, very deus ex machina and all most sickenly perfect. Was it really necessary to find partners for everyone? And create books. Never the less I liked the book though not as much as the predecessors. Considering the general abundance of power some characters develop through this series, it is surprising how well balanced the book is. I also think it was a good way to kill Elend and Vin off. Both had ended their potential development as characters. Also I didn't like the Epilog at all. I think it is cringe worthy and lessens the sacrifices and stakes a bit. It is ridiculously perfect.
