dünne - unrealistische Geschichte. Das Settlement mit Libyen über 400 Mio verläuft im Sande. Auf eine weitere Fortsetzung kann ich verzichten - deutlich schwächer als "Die Firma"

I basically love all Grisham books. This here is different. It is by far the worst Grisham story I have ever read/listened to.

Wenn es um juristische Inhalte geht, läuft Grisham zur Höchstform auf, aber auch den Camino Islands Büchern würde ich 5 Sterne geben. Bei dem Ausflug ins Entführungs- und Security Milieu kommen mir andere Schriftsteller realistischer vor.
Trotzdem eine solide Geschichte, auch wenn man nicht so sehe mit den Protagonisten mitfühlen kann, wie bei den meisten anderen Grisham Büchern…

Did Mr. Grisham skip the writing part this time and asked ChatGPT to write the story? Well, that‘s unfair, even AIs do not come up with stories as weak, bland and generic as this one.

Quality issues aside, If you reactivate one of your most beloved characters, why throw him into a story which obviously does not fit the character and also causes huge problems for the author as this otherwise wonderful and brillant narrator clearly doesn‘t know what to do with the story and is just going through the motions?

What a miserable hack job. I refuse to believe that John Grisham wrote this himself.
