Typisch Grisham - gut gebaute, leicht zu hörende Geschichte, aber ich habe den Eindruck, hier hat Grisham schnell gearbeitet - bis zum Ende: Der Schluss ist schlüssig, aber sehr kurz. Vieles ist unglaublich, ob das im US-Gerichtssystem tatsächlich so möglich wäre?

The feeling persists that you are hurried through a story that is just wonderful but whose characters are not developed in depth. The author seems to be willing to address too many topics and can't choose which story to tell.

Mich haben andere Geschichten von Grisham mehr angesprochen und mitfiebern lassen als diese. Aber ganz unterhaltsam.

I thought his worst book was The Broker because of trigger happy use of Italian phrases and language.. Until I listened to this one. I just made a 1600 km car trip totalling 18 hours and listened to the whole book.. But at times I had to stop and turn the radio on.. Just because I got annoyed.. Predictable, incoherent.. At moments even annoying. But since he got the idea for the book by accident, I think he rushed in to make the story. I did Truly expect more..the reader was good though..
