After the first 1.5 to 2 hours, I was considering to stop this audiobook. It was just so dark, depressing almost. I was just not in the mood for that. But then I gave it another chance and it became lighter, with something happy happening in the life or Rosa. It even started to become inspiring and very exciting till the end.

Es ist eine ungewöhnliche Geschichte, die aber sehr gut nachvollziehbar ist und zeigt, wie schwer, aber auch wie schön das Leben sein kann, wie sehr das eigene Leben von anderen beeinflusst wird und wie man selbst die Weichen stellt.
Die Sprecherin liest in sehr schönem Englisch und bringt die Gefühle zum Ausdruck.
Sehr gelungen!

thoroughly enjoyed it. I will now look for other books either read by Karen Cass (exquisite interpretation of characters), or written by Georgia Kaufmann!

May seem a very sad story to listen to at the beginning, but stick with it, very worthwhile!!! loved it
