Ich habe Susan Cooper's Bücher als Jugendliche verschlungen und jetzt als Hörbücher entdecke ich sie wieder.
Oft werden ihre Bücher mit Harry Potter verglichen...welche Anmaßung!

Diese Buchserie ist so tiefgründig und glaubwürdig, die Autorin hat so geschickt Mythen, Sagen und Historisches verwoben mit dem alltäglichen Leben junger Menschen, da kann Harry Potter einpacken! Hier gibts kein Schwarz und Weiß, keine einfache Antwort auf die Frage, ob das Ziel die Mittel rechtfertigt. Hier wird nicht mit billigen Tricks auf Effekte und Lacher gesetzt.

Der Vorleser macht einen wunderbaren Job, die Charaktere sind hervorragend interpretiert und die Stimmenvielfalt beeindruckent.

Ach so: Nicht zu verwechseln mit der unendlich enttäuschend schlechten Verfilmung.
