I had high hopes for this book and was sorely disappointed. I don‘t believe that writers should only write in their own voice and there are many great examples of men writing from the point of view of a woman, but this isn‘t one of them. The writer does such a poor job of describing women in the 90s that only a few chapters in, I had to look him up because I felt that there was no way he had any real experience of the nineties (let alone of women).
