Eine weitere Variation des Sherlock-Holmes-Mythos: in einer Fantasy-Welt ist Sherlock ein Engel namens Crow, Watson heißt hier Doyle und ist ganz anders, Lestrade bleibt ein Idiot und Moriaty ist ein Vampir …

Es bereitete der Autorin merkbar Spaß, die traditionellen Muster bis zur Parodie zu verändern. Das ist immer wieder sehr amüsant und wird von Imogen Church auch sehr gut erzählt. Trotzdem bleibt die Geschichte dem Original in der Grundstruktur treu und bringt zusätzlich die Jagd nach dem Ripper hinein. Irgendwie passt das nicht.
