I personally didn't enjoy the book that much.
The action scenes are fine but I found the social system lacking and didn't enjoy the relationship between the main characters.
The characters themselves could have used some work and the main couple doesnt have any chemistry in my opinion. The banter is not endearing but rather seems like genuine hostility and later distance to me. The alpha's son comes off as unnecassarily rude and the main character seems kind of stupid and incompetant at times. Some people may like this enemies-to-lovers dynamic, but it felt quite forced and unnatural to me.

I was also disappointed by the ending. It's clear it was aiming to set up the sequel but because of that it sacrificed the possibility of a satisfying conclusion to this novel, which I dislike.

I am debating whether I should buy the sequel.
