It’s book 1 in The Darling Brothers series but can be listened to as a standalone.

This one was no different. From start to finish, it had me smiling — honestly, I think I had a grin on my face for about 80% of the book. It’s such a feel-good read.
Ash is an absolute gem of a character — a jokester, cinnamon-roll sunshine of a man who’s bright, honest, brazen, and hilarious. He’s a total breath of fresh air. Then there’s Jackson — the rugged, broody cowboy who mainly communicates in grunts, hums, and snorts — and somehow their dynamic is absolute magic.
The spice is deliciously sexy, the tension so thick you could cut it with a knife, and the Montana backdrop just ties it all together beautifully. 🍒
I also loved how refreshing it was to see two mature adults (36 and 40!) who actually act their age. And that they both were masculine gay men. It felt authentic, natural and beautifully portrayed. There’s low drama, real communication, and genuinely sweet family dynamics that make the story feel grounded and heartfelt.
And the narration? Perfection. Kale Williams was a new-to-me voice, but I fell for his calm, warm tone right away. His interpretation of both characters — Ash’s playful charm and Jackson’s stoic growl — was spot on. Not once did I wish for dual narration.
This book made me smile, swoon, and just feel good. Definitely one I’ll be rereading. 🥃✨

It was light and pleasant to listen to, making it perfect for relaxing after an emotionally demanding book. The steamy encounters are well written and detailed.
Kale Williams was new to me, but is now at the top of my list of favorite narrators. His voice is gentle, deep, and sensitive.
I'm looking forward to listening to the next book in this series, which promises to be even more exciting
