After watching the tv show I wanted to give the „bestselling“ book a try. I thought it would be more like the actually show. There where parts of it that also appeared in the 1st season, but overall it was quite different and the book was just not my cup of tea. In the end I just wanted to get over with it. I guess one really must like the style of story telling and be able to connect with the characters. I for once couldn’t.

The book is NOT about 4 friends talking about their sex lives. It‘s very different from the show. The focus is Carrie and other people‘s love lives. The book is not about Carrie, Sam, Miranda and Charlotte.

The stories are boring. The sex scenes aren’t exciting. The stories are a lot about older men dating young women. All the women seem so desperate in this book. Would‘r recommend it.
