I loved the second book even more than the first and kinda had a feeling for what could eventually happen…wow can’t wait to see what will happen next

Still a story that is medium paced and easy to follow. I did enjoy the first book because of the 10/10 banter and I did really like the character arcs. But book 1 was slightly too much hunger games coded for me. But sticking to it does pay off !
I loved book 2. I adore Pae and Kai together and even while their sometimes corny love interest took a huge part of the story, It didn’t bother me much.
I was surprised by the ending. It’s a well done cliffhanger and now I look forward to the next book coming in April !

If you are considering: yes darling, go ahead and listen !

Tho I was kinda able to predict the ending, I still enjoyed it. Those two got me giggling and kickin my feet like in the first book <333
Sh*t is probably hitting the fan in the 3rd installment, but I'm gonna be happy to listen to it >:)

I love the characters and their depth, in thoughts and emotions. There is so much tension, I love it. Sadly the story over all suffered from the focus elsewhere. Regardless the book is amazing and I can’t wait for the next one.

This is one of the few audio books that I haven’t read in advance. Nevertheless, I haven’t missed a single beat of the story (as I usually do with audio books)! Reckless is a well-crafted romantasy story brought to live by three excellent speakers. If I could give 10 stars for the speakers, I would certainly do so! Reckless has become one of my favorite personal audio books. If you like the bridge kingdom series and fourth wing, you will like this one, too!

Back to enemys but so good with lots of tension and tenderness. Loved and binged it!

The story is driven by Playden and Kai interactig and when they weren't it felt slow to me. But even when they were interacting and developing their relationship the back and forth felt too long for my liking(like always in the same way) and the "committing" felt to quick.

But the plot twist i did not see coming and the banter is still great.

The VAs did amazing and I would relisten just for Kais voice

It's very basic. I already kind of felt that way with the first installment but held out hope. Powerful was also in my opinion pointless. It's more of the same forced "tension" with no real character development. There's many poorly executed tropes: one bed (several times), one horse (multiple times), pretending to be a couple to hide from antagonists (twice), forced proximity because of a literal chain. The narrators voices are great but I personally find the execution too monotone.
